This young athlete boasts considerable online presence

The young golfer can count on plenty of high-profile cheerleaders as she begins her first LPGA appearance this Thursday.

This teenage golfer, who happens to be connected to a former US president, was granted a tournament invitation to participate at the Annika competition in the Sunshine State.

The former president, a passionate golfer, owns numerous courses worldwide and frequently competes against his granddaughter.

"He's quite skilled. I can't say much but we have tight competitions," she revealed.

The golfer shared that Trump, who won't be present, advised her: "Simply stay calm."

"He practically advised me to compete and enjoy myself," she added.

"From my perspective, he's simply a normal grandpa. He can't make it this weekend. He's focused on presidential duties, making him quite busy."

While still amateur, Kai has played in only three events recently and has the 461st position in the American Junior Golf Association standings.

However she's able to seek guidance from 15-time major champion, in a relationship with Kai's mother.

"He stands as the best player worldwide," Kai expressed.

"Additionally, he's a more impressive individual. He told me to play, relax, adapting to the flow."

Kai will face some of top competitors in the sport at the Annika, such as world number two the champion, British Charley Hull, Lexi Thompson and 2023 champion Lilia Vu.

Tournament organizers mentioned that Kai's presence helps introduce the sport to different demographics, especially reaching the next generation.

The young star has substantial online presence and just introduced a personal apparel and wellness company.

Her first tee time at 17:30 GMT.
