Barça to Host First Game at Partially Completed Camp Nou this Saturday

The club confirmed their first game will take place at the partially upgraded Camp Nou this Saturday. They will welcome the Basque side in the Spanish league over two years following their departure for construction to commence.

“We envisioned this comeback. The moment has arrived. Home again at Spotify Camp Nou.”

The stadium will not be at full capacity but 45,401 spectators will be allowed to watch under the licence granted. Once fully finished, the stadium’s capacity will reach almost 105,000 spectators, increasing from the former 99,000. The club said recent additions comprise an updated entryway for the team and new dressing rooms.

Preparatory Events

The club conducted a public practice on the home pitch in early November. They mentioned they are seeking authorization by UEFA to host the next European match against Eintracht Frankfurt next month in the renovated venue. Previous fixtures took place at Estadio Olímpic Lluís Companys.
